Essex photographer Tommy Braxton shares his documentary project, Gypsy, with Hunger TV.
EXPLAIN THE CONCEPT BEHIND GYPSY TO US.
These photographs were taken over a four month period at various locations in England. The images show a culture that has recently been through a turbulent period in British media. My images offer an alternative view to those currently represented within the media, which have reinforced the prejudices of a largely vilified culture. I’ve also published the series as a book.
WHAT’S YOUR DREAM PROJECT?
To photograph various dying cultures, those last remaining societies that are being destroyed by the evolving world.
