We all want to grow old, but we would prefer not to be old. How can we fill this “extra” time? I, Romi Tweebeeke, try to answer this question by searching for special, often somewhat hidden stories. For six months, one day a week, I photographed the daily life of Cis and Mien. Cis and Mien (89) are identical twins, who have been living together their whole lives. The life of Cis and Mien is about discipline. Together they function like a well oiled machine. They have set times to get up, eat breakfast, do shopping, lunch, drink a glass of water, a glass of juice, coffee, tea, milk etc. The clock controls their lives, but also gives them the routine and the strength to keep going strong. This book shows one week of this very well structured life.
