Bill Wadman, a New York portrait photographer along with the cameras and assistance of Alex Erisoty, recently shot a series beautiful black and white portraits on Alex's 8x10 classic film cameras so I thought I would share them here! They illustrate the simplicity and beauty of a key light and some fill in black and white and what it can do for your portraits. I've always been a fan of this style of portraiture.
Below are all 25 images from the box of film that I shot on Saturday. I couldn't have done it without all involved. Thanks to my photographic partner-in-crime for this one Alex Erisoty, who let us use his studio and cameras and general knowledge of the craft. As well as the lovely Melissa Caul who lent us her make-up artistry, Claude Bauschinger for video and moral support, and Everett Cox for everything else.
