When having been surrounded by talented creatives for long enough you start recognizing the personalities you meet along the way that you just know will make it big. They’ve got the energy, passion and vision to take their careers to the top level at almost any expense. Swiss director and photographer Damien Krisl is one of those people. His name might have gone under the radar of the common fashion photographer, but Krisl has already made a career creating stunning fashion films and commercials for clients anyone would be thrilled to ever have the opportunity to work for. Not bad for a man still in his twenties.
At what moment did you realize that it was a fashion/luxury film director you wanted to be?
It was when I started discovering fashion photographers, pretty much at the very beginning of fashion film. I thought that there should be a way to bring the same quality of imagery into a short moving spot.
Did you envision yourself working in this industry when you were growing up, or did you have other dreams?
Yes, I envision myself in this industry, it came more and more. I’m an image addict. And the fashion and luxury industry is in my opinion the one who has the taste, and really invests into the aesthetic.
